How to create a Mitigation Plan

In order to mitigate the Risk Factors, a Mitigation Plan can be created.

Create the Mitigation Items

  1. Log in to the HTML5 client.

  2. Select the Risks tab, available in the Work workspace.

  3. In the Risks Home Page – Single project selection, click on the Risk Name of the Risk card to open the Risk dialog box.

  4. Click on the Mitigation___Risk_Factors_popup.png button to display the Mitigation section.

  5. In the Mitigation section, click on the Mitigation_Plan___Risk_Factors_popup.png button to open the Mitigation Plan popup.

  6. Select the Mitigation Items sub-tab and click on the New (NewProject) button to open the Mitigation Item popup.

  7. Enter the Mitigation Item Name and other attributes if needed.

  8. Click on the DONE button to close the Mitigation Item popup.

Mitigate the Risk Factors

  1. In the Mitigation section of the Risk dialog box, click on the Mitigation_Plan___Risk_Factors_popup.png button to open the Mitigation Plan popup.

  2. Click on the Manage_button___Risk_full_screen_view.png button to open the Risk Factors popup.

  3. Select Mitigated for the values to be displayed.

  4. For each Risk Factor, select in each cell of the grid new Risk Factor Level values that would apply to the Risk were it properly mitigated.

  5. Once completed, a Consolidated Mitigated Risk Level (from Risk Factors) is computed.

Copy the Consolidated Mitigated Risk Level to the Mitigated Risk Level

As the Project Manager, you have decided that this Mitigation Plan is worth pursuing as it tremendously decreases the Risk Level.

  1. In the Risk Factors popup, select Mitigated for the values to be displayed.

  2. Click on Copy_to_Mitigated___Risk_Factors_popup.png the button.

  3. The Mitigated Risk Level values are fulfilled automatically.

  4. Close the different popups.
