Actual Start

The Actual Start indicates the date the task actually started.

Once an Actual Start is entered, the task is anchored to start at that date and no other scheduling constraints will be able to move that task.

The Actual Start cannot be changed when the % Completed is greater than zero. This is because Sciforma updates the Actual Start automatically when % Completed is entered for a task.

Note

Because Actual Start and Actual Finish override all other scheduling constraints, these dates should only be entered when the task has actually started or has been fully completed.

If Actual Start and Actual Finish are removed, either by changing the % Completed to zero or removing actuals, the task once again becomes subject to normal scheduling constraints.
