How to add a Cost Center to a Budget Bucket

Portfolio Managers might want to identify a budget bucket to put aside for future initiatives that would come on top of the ongoing projects.

  1. Log in to the HTML5 client.

  2. Select the Portfolio Center workspace, Budget tab.

  3. Select a Portfolio in the Data Selector.

  4. Select the Portfolio Budget mode (viewmode_activesimulationdetails22_md.png).

  5. Click on the SIMULATION SANDBOX button.

  6. In the Budget Simulation full screen view, select the Simulation tab.

  7. Select a Scenario in the left panel.

  8. In the detailed view, click on the COST CENTER (alert_close22.png) button, and select the Add Cost Center to a Placeholder command.

  9. In the Add Cost Center to a Placeholder popup, select first a Cost Center, and click on the NEXT button. Then, enter a Placeholder Name, and click on the DONE button.

  10. Enter the Budget values in the spreadsheet distributed cells.

  11. If you want to add new cost centers, click on the (add22_md.png) button available on the right hand side of the Placeholder Name.

  12. Click on the close (close22_md.png) button.
