The Alert Date field displays the task start date less 10 days. In CCPM methodology, the Project Manager has to be ensured that the task will be ready when the resource becomes available.
The Alert Date will give him enough time to make sure that there are no issues on this task, and if this is the case, it will give him 10 days to resolve them.
