Metodología de la ruta crítica

La Metodología de la ruta crítica (CPM, por sus siglas en inglés) es una técnica básica de gestión de proyectos. Permite que los jefes de proyecto decidan qué tareas pueden cumplirse y cómo qué efectos pueden tener en el proyecto general los cambios de programa. Puesto que las tareas se colocan en un cronograma, también sirve de base para planificar presupuestos y programar los requisitos de los recursos. Esta técnica puede ser muy útil en los proyectos más simples y es prácticamente indispensable para los proyectos complejos. De hecho, sirve de base para un amplio conjunto de operaciones, como medidas presupuestarias y de desempeño.
