Usable Effort

As opposed to the Available Effort, the Usable Effort indicates the workload a resource can dedicate to one specific project. In other words, how much effort the Project Manager can actually use to assign on his/her project. The Usable Effort results from the way the resource has been acquired (dedicated, allocated, or committed).

  • If the resource is available, the Usable Effort displays the Dedicated Effort (if any), and/or the Allocated Effort (if any), and/or the Committed Effort (if any).

  • If the resource is unavailable, or if the resource has no Dedicated, Committed, or Allocated Effort, then the field will display the resource’s Available Effort.

Note

For the Requests linked to Allocations, only the effort from Request with a "Confirmed" status will be taken into account.
