How to relate an Issue to a Task

The steps described below are the ones when the Enable Work Items Home Page Charts option is enabled by the Administrator in the System Settings workspace, Work Management Settings folder, Global Options tab.

  1. Log in to the HTML5 client.

  2. Select:

    1. The Work workspace, Work Items tab, if you want to modify an Issue related to a Project.

      Then select a Project in the Project Data Selector.

    2. The Portfolio Work Management workspace, Work Items tab, if you want to modify an Issue related to a Portfolio.

      Then select a Portfolio Folder in the Data Selector.

  3. Click on the number of open Issues in the upper right corner of the Issues Chart section to open the Work Item full screen view, Inbox tab.

  4. Select an Issue in the Work Items List panel.

  5. In the Work Item Details view, select a task in the Related Task field if you want to relate the Issue to a task. In doing so, the Issue will be available in the Gantt side panel.

    Important

    This field is only available if you create an Issue related to a Project.

  6. Click on the (search_clear22_md.png) button to close the full screen view.
