How to connect two Change Requests

This feature is interesting if a Change Request is a duplicate of another Change Request.

Settings

The steps described below are the ones when the Enable Work Items Home Page Charts option is enabled by the Administrator in the System Settings workspace, Work Management Settings folder, Global Options tab.

  1. Log in to the HTML5 client.

  2. Select:

    1. The Work workspace, Work Items tab, if you want to connect two Change Requests related to a Project.

      Then select a Project in the Project Data Selector.

    2. The Portfolio Work Management workspace, Work Items tab, if you want to connect two Change Requests related to a Portfolio.

      Then select a Portfolio Folder in the Data Selector.

  3. Click on the number of open Change Requests in the upper right corner of the Change Requests Chart section to open the Work Item full screen view, Inbox tab.

  4. Select a Change Request in the Work Items List panel.

  5. In the Work Item Details view, click on the Connections button to activate the Connections section.

  6. In the Connections section, click on the Connect to existing Change Request command.

  7. In the Change Requests list, select a Change Request.

  8. Change Requests are now connected to each other.
