How to attach an Action to a Change Request

If a Change Request has been raised and some Actions need to be done, it can be interesting to attach Actions to the Change Request.

Settings

The steps described below are the ones when the Enable Work Items Home Page Charts option is enabled by the Administrator in the System Settings workspace, Work Management Settings folder, Global Options tab.

  1. Log in to the HTML5 client.

  2. Select:

    1. The Work workspace, Work Items tab, if you want to attach an action related to a Change Request related to a Project.

      Then select a Project in the Project Data Selector.

    2. The Portfolio Work Management workspace, Work Items tab, if you want to attach an action related to a Change Request related to a Portfolio.

      Then select a Portfolio Folder in the Data Selector.

  3. Click on the number of open Change Requests in the upper right corner of the Change Requests Chart section to open the Work Item full screen view, Inbox tab.

  4. Select a Change Request in the Work Items List panel.

  5. In the Work Item Details view, click on the Actions button to activate the Actions section.

  6. In the Actions section, click on one of the following commands:

    1. Connect to Existing button if Actions have already been created.

    2. Create & Connect button to create an Action and attach it to the selected Change Request.

  7. Click on the (search_clear22_md.png) button to close the full screen view.
