The Time Navigation toolbar allows users to manage their time frames (as with Timesheets, for instance) in time-distributed views. The designs and options these toolbars offer might vary from one view to another.
Here is a list of capabilities that the toolbars offer:
 | Today | Button that returns the user to the current time period |
 | Jump to Date | Popup wherein the user can select a specific date to “jump to”. Once the selection is validated, the view switches to the corresponding time period. |
Custom | Once activated, gives the user the ability to enter custom dates. Note Depending on the toolbar, the custom option can allow the user to either enter a custom Start Date (the interval will be the one set manually) or to enter both a Start and a Finish date (the interval to be automatically calculated by Sciforma). | |
 | Intervals | Picklist that allows the user to select the interval (i.e., Day, Week, Month, Quarter, or Year). |
 | Number of Intervals | Picklist, wherein the user can select the number of intervals to display. This number can range from 1 to 12. |
It is also possible to go from one time period to another by using the navigation Previous (
) and Next (
) arrows.

In some views, the Presets (
) button of the time navigation toolbar is provided, allowing the user to directly set the displayed timeframe as follows:

6 Months from Project Start | Displays the next six months after the selected project’s Start date. (Intervals: Month; Number of Intervals: 6) |
6 Quarters from Project Start | Displays the next six quarters after the selected project’s Start date. (Intervals: Quarter; Number of Intervals: 6) |
6 Years from Project Start | Displays the next six years after the selected project’s Start date. (Intervals: Year; Number of Intervals: 6) |
6 Months from now | Displays the next six months from the beginning of the current month. (Intervals: Month; Number of Intervals: 6) |
6 Quarters from now | Displays the next six quarters from the beginning of the current quarter. (Intervals: Quarter; Number of Intervals: 6) |
6 Years from now | Displays the next six years from the beginning of the current year. (Intervals: Year; Number of Intervals: 6) |
Entire Project | Displays the time frame from the project's Start to the Project's Finish date. |
