How to relate an Action to a Task

The steps described below are the ones when the Enable Work Items Home Page Charts option is enabled by the Administrator in the System Settings workspace, Work Management Settings folder, Global Options tab.

  1. Log in to the HTML5 client.

  2. Select:

    1. The Work workspace, Work Items tab, if you want to modify an Action related to a Project.

      Then select a Project in the Project Data Selector.

    2. The Portfolio Work Management workspace, Work Items tab, if you want to modify an Action related to a Portfolio.

      Then select a Portfolio Folder in the Data Selector.

  3. Click on the number of open Actions in the upper right corner of the Actions Chart section to open the Work Item full screen view, Inbox tab.

  4. Select an Action in the Work Items List panel.

  5. In the Work Item Details view, select a task in the Related Task field if you want to relate the Action to a task. In doing so, the Action will be available in the Gantt side panel.

    Note

    This field is only available if you create an Action related to a Project.

  6. Click on the (search_clear22_md.png) button to close the full screen view.
