  1. Log in to the HTML5 client.

  2. Select the Work workspace, Gantt tab.

  3. Select the project which is the Target of the dependency in the Project Data Selector.

  4. Create a new task, so that the data coming from the Source object will be displayed on this task.

  5. In the Gantt spreadsheet, click on the Cmd (GearGantt) button, and select the Create Dependency command.

  6. In the Create a New Dependency popup, select:

    1. Mapping Type: Image

    2. Task to Task dependency

    Note

If a Default Mapping has been selected in the Project Administration dialog box, you can leave the Mapping Type field blank.

  7. Select the Project Source in the list, and then the Task Source.

  8. The Gear (GearGanttDependency) icon indicates that the task has a dependency with another object. This specific Gear icon is only displayed on the Target task.

The two symbols (triangles) on the Gantt chart show the start date and end date of the project as scheduled by the Program Manager.

    Note

A contract could also be created between the two objects, giving therefore more formal targets (Dates, Budget, and Deliverables).

  9. Project Managers will then have to schedule their projects taking into account the data coming from the Program. Projects will then have to be published.
