This field will have to be added as a column in the Gantt spreadsheet.

Warning

Do not forget to publish the Source object.

Warning

Do not forget to give Read permissions to the Project Manager of the Target object.

At the Target Object Level

  1. Log in to the HTML5 client.

  2. Select the Work workspace, Gantt tab.

  3. Select the project which is the Target of the dependency in in the Project Data Selector.

  4. In the Main toolbar, click on the Edit (EditColor) button to open the Project Administration dialog box.

  5. Select the Setup folder.

  6. In the Home Page Features section, click on Gear (GearOther) button available on the right hand side of the Dependencies row.

  7. In the Dependencies Advanced Attributes dialog box, select the Default Mapping type:

    1. Image – Information about the source (Project or Task) is displayed as symbols in the Gantt but have no interaction with the Target Task itself. This mapping type is used for informative purpose.

    2. Copy – The Target Task mirrors exactly the Source data. The Target task is overridden. Indeed, the Source (Project or Task) has a direct impact on the Target Task.

Note

Selecting a Default Mapping is not compulsory as mapping types can be chosen in the Create a New Dependency popup upon dependency creation.
