Managing projects often involves managing project information, including information stored in documents. It is crucial for organizations to be able to store and retrieve all information related to their projects.

Unlike the Documents feature that stores documents in the Sciforma database, the Attachments feature will link documents to URL links.

Attachments can be of any type (e.g., spreadsheets, text documents, images, etc.) but are not saved in the Sciforma database.


We strongly recommend to use this capability instead of the Documents feature as you will not have to ensure that the database has enough capacity to store files.


In Sciforma, Attachments can be created at:

  • The Project level

  • The Portfolio level

  • The Work Package level
